All Though the food was ok...the restaurant was filthy there was like layers of dirt around all the vents i felt like there would be an extra topping of dirt on my food at any moment...and there was this one waiter thankfully not my waiter but any how she was giggling and horseplaying..and being so loud that we Doreen even finish our food inside we all got to go boxes and left happily

Meh... Shrimp and calamari we're good - not impressed by the fish or other things we ordered. The place was a little crusty, imagine an old Burger King converted to a restaurant.

The portions were enormous and the food tasted GREAT! Our waitress also did an outstanding job, especially with our large party of 9.

We got there close to closing time and they were happy to serve us. The food was DA BOMB. You dont get crab that good for the price in Oklahoma. Also it was the most ive ever got, like 4 whole clusters

Crab had a great taste until I saw crab leeches they went into the trash and at that point I had only eaten one. That signified uncleanliness point blank period.

Traveling for work. Had a hankering for seafood. Local spot. Had the chicken/shrimp gumbo and a seafood platter. The gumbo had great flavor and was filled with ingredients. The breading on the fish and shrimp could use some more seasonings but that is just an opinion.

Wow. The shrimp here is to die for. Perfect batter, hand made cocktail sauce. Prices were reasonable for a beach townMasks and social distancing in place. Shrimp cocktails, both Mexican and American were outstanding. Wish I could give them six stars

The food was tasty, but the service was not great. Two meals were forgotten and had to be reordered and it took FOREVER to be replaced. It’s bad news when they forget the kids food and instead of admitting they forgotten they said they “burned the fries and they needed to be remade”. Just unimpressed and disappointed in the service, but the food is tasty!

Just not the same since they changed owners - seafood was good, but other items were so so

I enjoyed it. The gumbo was brought out quickly with rice. Then I was brought some fried fish. Price tag was 10.99. Also offered beer with salt and lime. Nice touch.

This is such a hidden gem. The Grilled Seafood Plate comes with Red Snapper, Shrimp, and Scallops. Everything tasted so fresh that I didn’t even use the tarter sauce! All the food is reasonably price and you definitely get your money’s worth. I will definitely be coming back.

Not terrible but wouldnt go again. The calamari was good and the vegetables but that was it. We ordered grilled snapper and they brought out fried unseasoned snapper, I ordered a medium steak and they brought out well done. Boudin balls weren't spectacular. The waiter was sweet but had to come back to our table five or six times to ask about our order cause he didnt write it down. Overall for what you pay you can go eat somewhere else that'll be better

The food was hot and fresh. Service was great. It was so good my kids said we should of ate there all three nights we were in town. Will definitely be back when in town.

The quantity of food is somewhat overwhelming although I loosened my belt to eat as much as I did. The cost is still a bit pricey, but is kinda expected for seafood and of course again the quantity of food. The meal was good but lacked some seasoning. The ettoufe was great especially over the grilled snapper. The jumbo grilled shrimp were tasty enough but again a little seasoning goes a long way. I've dined at fish city in Pearland where the plates were just as pricey but more on par in preparation and execution, not taking away from LJS, who offers one the best versions of seafood in our area. They wipe the floor with corporate digs like red lobster.

I want expecting much based on first impressions.. Unassuming decor, but outstanding service (such nice young men!), great prices, large portions and the fried shrimp and oysters had real flavor unlike so many other places. Fries were great, and the sweet tea was so good we got some to go. Some of the best seafood I've had in South Texas. Highly recommend!

If u like daily specials, fried shrimp and oysters I recommend this place

Portions are plenty the chicken sausage gumbo is great with a nice kick just wish it had more sausage could be because we went so late in the evening.

My wife and I accompanied my son, wife and grandson to Surfside Beach June 14, that was very busy with people enjoying the afternoon with mostly favorable winds keeping the temperature and water not so rough. We headed to Lake Jackson Seafood from there to get some takeout seafood to go, even though dine-in eating was also available. We ordered and enjoyed fresh fried shrimp, catfish and redfish with salad, fries, lemon wedges to go. We ate our delicious food in the truck before heading back to Rosenberg. We were a party of five including our 14 mth old grandson, who also loves the seafood. We look forward to coming back to Surfside with so many different restaurants to experience.

We went with some friends and had a wonderful dinner. We ordered the boiled shrimp appetizer and it was good, but the shrimp were hot (not chilled like expected) and it came with a baked potato. Turns out for the exact same price as the appetizer they have a boiled shrimp dinner. I'm not sure if that is why they were served hot, but it may be. I had the grilled shrimp and they were delicious. My wife had the salmon and really enjoyed it. The biggest surprise was the kids popcorn shrimp. They were delicious! I was jealous. They didn't taste like the normal premade shrimp restaurants always pawn off on the kids. They were really good. Overall I would really recommend.

Our server was great. Very sweet and helpful. I ordered the steak and lobster. The lobster was a little tough but still good. the steak I ordered medium rare and I received it overly well done. I asked for a recook and it was brought back raw. After the second wrongly cooked steak I asked for it to be taken off my bill.... The steak was flat top cooked only not grilled by any means. My boyfriend ordered the ribeye medium and also received his overly well done... It was quite sad the cook didn't know how to cook a steak but we still tipped the server great because it wasnt her fault. I will not return because I have definatley had better steak and lobster then to have a steak brought to be incorrect twice

No frills, excellent gulf coast-style fresh seafood. I was greeted by an escaped crawfish waving at me in the hallway, so yeah, it's fresh. Seriously.

I have been here many times. Nine times out of ten I get the chicken fried steak. It's very good. I'm just not a fish person so I can't offer an opinion on that. I knocked one star because I think the place could be kept a bit cleaner. Otherwise, the wait staff is friendly and helpful.

The food was awesome. Prices on point. But they weren't prepared for how busy they got and service lacked. We would however go back!

Very large menu! Excellent food, generous servings and the cheesecake is fabulous!!

The Food was really good plus nice service!!

We were a late table however the food was cooked perfect to order and server was very patient and courteous. The reason for the one less star, thier sauces could use some improvement. Particularly the butter sauce served with the king crab. Not sure how much, if any butter was even in it.

Really like this restaurant. Great food. I drive an hour to get to it.

The Crawfish, etoufe was very good and filling I had to take the rest of it home. I will finish eat it tomorrow for lunch. I had a great time with my baby son and his girlfriend and another one of there friend.

I had Fish and he had Shrimp. It was very tender and good. We were served by a very nice Waitress that made sure we had an Excellent dining experience.

Crab Legs were awesome

Food is really good. GreT price. But service lacked when more than a few people showed at once. Waited a while for bill. Server was energized and friendly but they just broke down when it got busy. Would be back for food. Manager just needs better training and employees for the service.

Very good gumbo, but a bit too salty. The waitress said the fried fish was catfish, but I'm convinced it was some other kind of fish. It was fine, but needed more seasoning. Overall, a good restaurant.

Great place to eat, food feels fresh, really clean. You can enjoy with family and friends, the staff is awesome. Plates are around $15-$20 it worth the money for the serving size. Highly recommended.
